"Massage Therapy and Fitness Training is as much about the mind as it is the body. My passion is to help you find your flow so wellness comes naturally to you"
I finished my level 2 and 3 fitness and personal training courses with Lifetime Fitness in the summer of 2012. I am insured and qualified to instruct and carry out fitness instructing level 2, personal training level 3, nutrition for physical activity, functional/sports specific training, sports performance nutrition, adapting exercise for older adults and adapting exercise to ante and post natal clients.
In the spring of 2013 I finished my training with 'Intelligence Training Systems' to become a fully qualified Sports and Deep Tissue Massage Therapist. On this course I also became a Biomechanics trainer. Following this in May 2015 I studied and completed a course in Kinesio Taping.
All of my certificates are present to be seen in all my client consultations. I have insurance with Zurich via Balens.
Since early 2015 I have been working with the cast, crew and staff of a theatre in Bath and more recently Cardiff.
Using my deep tissue and sports massage work with popular touring shows and local productions has been such a joy for me as I have been able to keep cast performing on the stage each and every night.
Theatre has a place in my heart after years working front of house at a wonderful theatre in the Southwest. My love for live shows and films has been a favored pastime for most of my life. I have worked within many industries prior to my work with complementary heath and all have played there part in how I deliver sessions. Trust between myself and the client is number one.
I have always been interested in fitness and my passions within it lead me to many forms of sport and exercise including running, squash, badminton, weight training and tough mudder style races.
I played in a squash league for a year, ran half marathon races for 2 years and even broke a world record in Badminton for charity, playing 32 hours straight without sleep. Taking my body to that next level of fitness has been a huge driver.
In the last 2 years I have had a chance to explore the world of psychology, mindfulness, meditation, nutrition and energy work such as Reiki. It has really allowed me to see the importance of the mind and body connection. How our minds and bodies need to work in unison and be in healthy communication. This lead me to meeting Carla-Jo and 2 years after meeting her Aquae Sulis Wellbeng was born.
Together Carla-Jo and myself can help clients on a whole other level find their flow in life.
I love my work and feel very blessed to help people feel, move and live healthier.
I run a mobile service. I can come to your home or workplace. Also based in Salisbury at the Harnham Physiotherapy Clinic.
Why I Love The City of Bath
I was born in Bath and even though my childhood was spent in Cardiff, Bath drew my family back and it is home.
The combination of historic buildings and open countryside within it makes it feel spacious yet have the buzz of a city.
Places like The Royal Crescent connected to Royal Victoria Park is the prime example.

WHAT IS BIOMECHANICS
A biomechanical assessment is a analysis of your body and all of its moving parts.
Extrinsic biomechanics is the study and measurement of movement patterns of a particular task. Ultimately, our intrinsic biomechanics determines our ability and efficiency to perform movement. Most of us – athletes and sedentary alike – become very successful at performing repetitive daily tasks but more often than not, in a way that doesn't serve the body. Creating a higher risk of injury.
You may think you are moving well and correctly but what's going on deeper. Is your pelvis aligned? The spine neutral? Muscles free of spasm?
A Biomechanics screening assessment includes...
- Pelvis Alignment.
- Leg Length.
- Hip Mobility.
- Lower Back Movement.
- Hip Flexor Release.
- Spasm within the Pectoral, Shoulder and Glute muscles.
A biomechanical assessment is a analysis of your body and its moving parts. During a standard biomechanical assessment, we will have a discussion about what aches or pains you may be having, what your medical or injury history looks like, and what your goals are.
From there, we will go through 16 screenings that would show us what your body needs to do to accomplish your daily tasks. We are putting together a framework of your movement. This assessment allows us to understand what body parts and tissues are moving too much and what’s not moving enough, what’s tight and what’s loose, and what’s strong and what’s weak in order to develop an action plan for your massage treatments and for fitness sessions you may be involved in.
While most biomechanical assessments focus primarily on gait analysis (the movement of your lower limbs during walking, running, sitting, squatting, etc). We take a more holistic approach with biomechanical assessments. This allows us to get a more complete picture of how your body moves and what may not be firing in your daily movement patterns.
